Mr Joseph Williamson, tobacco merchant and landlord (and Mole!) and Mrs Elizabeth Williamson, amateur artist (and long suffering wife!). It was from Elizabeth’s brother Thomas that Williamson took over the Tate tobacco business. Her other brother, William, was also an artist and the Walker Art Gallery has a portrait of Elizabeth painted by him.
