For most of Williamson's time on Mason Street, this area opposite his house remained undeveloped. However, it was later the site of some 'courts', as shown in this picture of Court No. 9, Mason Street, from early this century. The slope up to Highgate Street is quite pronounced. One wonders whether the residents were aware of the tunnels beneath their feet. |
