Paddington section of tunnels open to public for Festival of British Archaeology, over two weekends in July

FoWT is opening the Paddington section of the Williamson Tunnels for public visits on two weekends in July. Part of the acclaimed Festival of British Archaeology, the visits offer a chance to see the normally closed deep vaulted cellars. Indeed this may be the final public visits before excavation work begins later in 2011. So come along and join us to see some of Joseph Williamson's finest constructions, speak with our people who are doing the archaeology and see some of the fascinating items which can turn up during excavation.
