· Tunnels fenced off

Wire fences have recently been erected around the slope on Mason Street which has for years afforded unofficial access to the stable yard and two main tunnel entrances. This is not such a bad thing as it will protect the area from vandalism.

· Members meeting

FWT held a members meeting on Thursday 18th September at Devonshire House in Liverpool. The audience enjoyed a fascinating presentation by a geophysicist on his survey of the tunnels, carried out in 1995. In an enjoyable evening, members were also briefed on the latest developments and a constructive question and answer session was held.
