The church & graveyard in 1905 Site of church & graveyard today
Here are two views of the place where Williamson lies buried to this day. The engraving on the left shows St. Thomas's Church in 1905. The triangular area enclosed by railings in the foreground is the graveyard and Williamson's/the Tate family crypt is just inside the railings, half way the along the left-hand railings. The base stones of the two gate posts indicated by the red arrows can be seen in the photo on the right, taken today. The triangular area is now a private car park at the junction of Paradise Street and Park Lane, with Williamson laying just near the lamp post on the left. Liverpool's central shopping area is in the distance.
