Here is a selection of short video files we have made in some of the tunnels. The quality has been turned down a bit to prevent huge file sizes, but they are still inevitably large, so beware of long loading times. To play the files you just need any media player software capable of playing AVI files (most Win95/Win98/Mac computers will have this, but if you need to you can download Microsoft's media player ). When you click on one of the images below, you can either download the file to your hard disk (to view later) or play it here and now (once it has played most computers will allow you to save it as well for viewing later). NB-The only exception is the QuickTime VR file near the bottom, which requires a QuickTime player (if you load it in some versions of Windows Media Player it comes out sideways!)

Not sure if you can play AVI files? Click here to download a small test video. If it won't play, you can download Microsoft's Windows Media Player here If you just need the Quicktime Player, you can download it from Apple's site here.

In this clip we come down the gash into the Banqueting Hall, take a look at the Gothic Arch high up in the wall and zoom in on a group of explorers on top of the rubble at the far end, giving an idea of the scale.

This longer clip takes us down into the 'new' tunnels at Paddington: a look around the second layer below ground and then down to the third layer, where we see FoWT workers digging the new exploratory shaft. Then we start up the stairs towards daylight.

This shorter clip takes us quickly across the third layer down at Paddington, from the foot of the steps across to the far side, where we peer down into our 6 metre exploratory shaft and see a classic pointed Williamson arch before we leave.
Click here to load the QuickTime WINEBIN.QT WINEBIN.QT (171 K, time not applicable, spring 98)
This is a QuickTime virtual reality panorama, that puts you in the 'wine bin room' under Williamson's house. If you load it you can pan round 360 degrees and zoom in and out.
