This is the 'wine bins room', so called because the insets along the left-hand wall are presumed to be those referred to in James Stonehouse's 1845 account of the tunnels as the places under Williamson's house where he had racks for storing bottles of wine. There are huge hand-cut sandstone lintels above them. Perhaps more notable is the wonderful elliptical arch that makes up the roof. On the extreme left we can see part of a large blocked up arch, not yet explored.
