A view here of the facade of the house from inside the house site. It looks very messy, but close up one can see that without the paint and whitewash the wall is a mixture of sandstone blocks and brick. Remember that there used to be another storey on top and it is easy to imagine that it was quite a large house. The entrance hatches to the tunnels are dotted around the floor, in front of and behind the photographer.
