This is the view as you descend from the entrance chamber under the house and, passing through the gash, see the Banqueting Hall looming large ahead of you. Your feet are about 40ft below the ground surface and the light in the distance - at the top of the far end of the Hall - is about 75ft away from you. Either side of you, the roughly-hewn walls of the gash show the pick marks left by Williamson's workers.
