This is a small tunnel which was uncovered by a mechanical digger during final work on the Williamson Student Village in 1999. The section revealed appeared to be heading downhill into the land now occupied by the Village and uphill towards Kinglake Street, off the top of the picture. It was undamaged by the work and covered over by tarmac.
